i’ve been having a hard time embedding some music videos from youtube into this blog. politics most likely. mtv has some issues about licensing with youtube that became serious enough for mtv to set up mtvmusic.com.
its still new and therefore some edges are rough but…

this has been hanging there since the first time i heard it. posted for a friend.

i was going through the music videos that sonybmg posted over at youtube and i found an interesting one that i decided to view. upon clicking, i got the screenshot you see here saying, “this video is not available in your country.”
what the… ?
is this like a dvd region thing? that idea was stupid to begin with. it just inconvenienced the consumer and i for one didn’t get to buy an original dvd or two because it was some other region that my player wasn’t suppose to read. that’s lost income right there.
and now the stupid idea comes to the internet. i would understand it if the reason for it not being available is if it will compromise national security. dudes, its a music video. i’m not exactly sure if it will make a dent in philippine national security.
i got to see the video anyway.
the song is okay. the video wasn’t.
earworm — music or song that repeats and repeats in my head. it stays until it gets replaced by another. i don’t get to decide which song or music my head chooses to play. it just comes. it usually lasts anywhere from a few days to several weeks.

recently, i tried embedding a video from youtube into this blog. the built-in editor — a modified version of tinymce — sort of “cleans up” the youtube embed code in such a way that when the post is published the layout of the whole blog looks out of whack. i didn’t want visitors to see that so after a search for a suitable plugin, i found gecko tube.
timbaland, apologize, polydor

edit: i just added the gecko tube plugin now you can see the video.
