lito and i rode in up diliman. he said there was a group ride that goes on from 2pm to 4pm. all in all there were six people riding around. lito forgets sometimes. i forgot my water bottle.

but it was a beautiful afternoon. cloudy and the acacias sheltered us from the sun. the ride was short but fun. i always enjoy my rides now.

i got a smile and a nod from a couple of riders. one was wearing last year’s tour of fireflies jersey — same as what i was wearing. its amazes me what an organized ride can do to strangers.

i was able to ride again just today. i’ve been busy with a bit of work and generally trying hard to get into the groove of things again.

city riding is not really easy especially in the pinas. there are so many jeeps, buses, pedicabs and wayward pedestrians. so today, i took to the side roads most of the time.

its mostly errands — bank, pet shop for some turtle food then lastly, to ed lee where i got this:

its a prototype jersey designed by felix, the weatherman. its got the flag and the logo of pinoy roadies on the sleeves. so nice. the picture doesn’t do the jersey justice. it was taken by a 0.3 megapixel phone camera. so yeah, picture quality sucks big time.

anyway, it was a fun ride. i got to know the city a little bit more. i got to discover small things that i don’t get to see when i drive by. the stuff you see its not always pretty but that’s how things are. i would like to think that i have improved my street riding skills just a little bit more.

know what? its was hot today and its just january. summer is going to get hotter this year. better get those aircons and electric fans cleaned and ready.
